CHOCOLATIER'S TASTING NOTES:
Powerful and heady nose, aromas of grilled butter and liquorice, bitter, persistent on the palate.
OUR NOTES:
I don't notice the liquorice, or much bitterness, but I love this chocolate's rich taste that carries a suggestion of buttered toast! Facinating and delicious. Venezuela has a historical reputation for fine chocolate. Because of this, chocolate of this origin seems to vary from superb to pretty awful. Just because it's from Venezuela doesn't mean much. But this worthy bar makes me realize how Venezuela may have gotten that reputation.
